Crepes

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 and 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • Quarter cup soften butter

nutella filling with cheeries,whipped cream and chocolate and caramel sauce,dusting of icing sugar

METHOD :

  1. In a large bowl beat all the eggs and sugar till nice pale.
  2. Add the milk and keep mixing it with an electric beater and add vanilla extract to it.
  3. Now add all the dry ingredients (i.e Flour,salt,baking powder ) and sieve it so there are no lumps in the mixture.
  4. Fold in all the batter,make sure there are no lumps and its a nice thin consistency
  5. Preheat a non-stick skillet,add a small nob of butter and swirl it around coating the entire pan(skillet).
  6. With the help of a spoon ladle pour in the batter and quickly swirl it around making a sheet.
  7. Once tiny bubbles appear flip it to the other side and cook for another minute till slightly golden.
  8. Repeat for the rest of the crepes

*You can serve these crepes with clotted cream,whipped cream,nutella,agave syrup,maple syrup or caramel sauce or chocolate sauce.And decorate it with sliced fruits like strawberries,cherries,bananas and raspberries.

MINT HEAVEN

2014-07-02_23-11-44    You will need 

  • Hand full of fresh mint leaves
  • quarter lemon
  • 2 tablespoon softened honey
  • 2 glasses of ice cold water
  • quarter of a cucumber

METHOD:

  1. In a blender first put all the mint leaves,cucumber,lemon(whole with the peel) and honey and blend it well.
  2. Then add cold water and a pinch of salt and blend it till there is a nice layer of froth on top.
  3. Sieve it when pouring into your glass.

This is an amazing refreshing drink and is the best option for summers.It helps in complete body detox as everything that goes in it is fresh and organic.This drink is commonly found in the UAE and Arab countries but in the restaurants its very sweet as they use sugar which is definitely not healthy.
