• 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 and 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • Quarter cup soften butter
nutella filling with cheeries,whipped cream and chocolate and caramel sauce,dusting of icing sugar


  1. In a large bowl beat all the eggs and sugar till nice pale.
  2. Add the milk and keep mixing it with an electric beater and add vanilla extract to it.
  3. Now add all the dry ingredients (i.e Flour,salt,baking powder ) and sieve it so there are no lumps in the mixture.
  4. Fold in all the batter,make sure there are no lumps and its a nice thin consistency
  5. Preheat a non-stick skillet,add a small nob of butter and swirl it around coating the entire pan(skillet).
  6. With the help of a spoon ladle pour in the batter and quickly swirl it around making a sheet.
  7. Once tiny bubbles appear flip it to the other side and cook for another minute till slightly golden.
  8. Repeat for the rest of the crepes

*You can serve these crepes with clotted cream,whipped cream,nutella,agave syrup,maple syrup or caramel sauce or chocolate sauce.And decorate it with sliced fruits like strawberries,cherries,bananas and raspberries.

This one's my dads favourite!!!This simple and delicious dish is ready in minutes, and to make this you don't have to worry about ingredients.All
these ingredients are easily available in your local grocery store.You can have these
for dinner or can pack in for your kids school lunch with ketchup or their favorite 


  • Chicken fillets- 4 (diced)
  • Capsicum-red,yellow and green-1  large each (diced)
  • Onions-2 large (diced)
  • tomatoes-2 large (diced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tomatoes paste -3 tbsp
  • Chili flakes -1 tsp
  • Garlic powder-1 tsp
  • Jalapenos-1/2 cup
  • olives black- 1/2 cup
  • Mushrooms – 1/2 cup (optional)
  • lemon juice -2 tbsp
  • Garlic chopped -4 cloves
  • Tortilla wraps ( your choice if you want to use the flour,whole wheat or gluten free)
  • Mozzarella cheese or Cheddar cheese  – 2 cups



  1. Preheat a wok and cook the chicken slightly.Once it changes the colour.
  2. Then add garlic cloves and onions and peppers and cook well for two minutes
  3. Now add the tomatoes paste and tomatoes and toss for 2 minutes so the strong taste of the paste goes away.
  4. Once this is done add all the remaining ingredients and the spices and cook well
  5. heat a skillet and take the wraps and the add the filling to one half of the wrap,top it with the cheese and fold it over.
  6. Repeat step 5 for all the wraps
  7. Now put each turnover in the preheated skillet and slightly cook on both sides till the cheese is melted and the wrap is golden and toasted.
  8. You may want to cut them in the center or can serve it whole as part of your meal of a snack.

Nothing in this world can beat the taste freshly baked baguette.
Even if you have absolutely nothing at home and are craving some carbs,then believe me this is your go to recipe.
The crispy exterior and the chewy soft interior is the best alternative to the regular boring bread we have daily.
Make your breakfast,lunch and snack special with the help of this simple recipe.


  • All purpose flour- 3 cups to 4 cups (for dusting the counter for kneading)
  • Yeast-2 tsp
  • Warm water
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Sugar- 1 tsp
  • oil -1 tbsp



Method :

  1. Mix the yeast and sugar in the warm water and set it aside and let it rise
  2. In a large open pan add flour and salt and mix well, then make a well in the center and with the help of a wooden spoon mix in all the flour. mix well!
  3. Once the water and the yeast is all mixed together, grease a large bowl with oil and put the dough in.
    *Remember the dough will be a bit liquidy so don’t panic!!!
  4. Cover the bowl with cling tightly and put in a warm dry place for 2-3 hours to rise.
  5. Once the dough is risen and doubled in size, dust your counter with flour, and just gently fold the dough with the flour,you don’t want very dry and tough dough it should be smooth and soft,just enough flour so the stickiness is gone and its easier to work with.
  6. Once the dough is ready,divide it into the three equals size and cover with a damp cloth and let sit in a warm place again for 15 minutes.
  7. Then roll them into a shape of the baguettes and put on a buttered tray,cover and let rise once more for 30 -40 minutes.
    *With the help of a knife make slanted line on top.In the oven keep a pan under the rack.Let it heat.add hot water in it ,which will create steam and help the bread be really nice and soggy.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 180°C – 170°C(fan forced)

Enjoy with your favourite cheese but I like to make Garlic bread or sandwich out of it.All i do is slice in the middle and add my favourite fillings.

This bread would last you two weeks in the freezer,all you do is put in the  microwave for 10 minutes with a glass of water inside the microwave.

Everyone loves chicken nuggets especially the kids.I have a 5 year old sister and she enjoys chicken nuggets more than anything else.You can easily get these at any departmental store but to be very honest we don't know what goes in those expensive processed package nuggets.I recently saw a video on how these processed foods are made.I will attach the video here aswell and I can promise you would never want to eat them again but hey you don't have to mess out on the yummy goodness cause its super simple to make and it take absolutely no time.


  • 1 kilo gram lean chicken mince
  • 1 stalk of spring onions- finely chopped
  • bunch of coriander leaves
  • 3 bread slices without the sides
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 cups Panko bread crumbs or American garden Garlic bread crumbs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 eggs


  1. In a bowl, add mince,salt,pepper,spring onions,coriander and mix well.
  2. Now add the bread slices and pour in all the milk and use your hands to mix well and squish all the mince together to combine.
  3. spread the breadcrumbs and flour in separate plates and whip the eggs in a bowl.This is for the breading
  4. With the help of a tablespoon(if you like them big) or a teaspoon (if you like them in small size),take one table spoon of mince and make the shape of nuggets on your palm.(Make sure your hands are dusted with flour).
  5. Then first dip the nuggets in flour then the egg and then the breadcrumbs.
  6. Then toss them in cold oil and let the oil heat up slowly,this way the inside of the nugget will cook evenly aswell as the crisp exterior.
  7. Repeat step 4 & 5 for each nugget.

You can easily make a large batch and pop them in the freezer and cook them whenever guests arrive or make a quick snack for the kids school lunch.

It will last for 2 weeks or up-to a month.

I am sorry I have been MIA lately but I really apologise to all those who follow up on my blog regularly.regularly. Alot has been happening and I have not been cooking alot.But I do have this amazing soup recipe that I made recently for cousins and it came out just the way we like.I have always been quite scared of trying to make this recipe and always go wit the safe 'chicken corn recipe' but turned out this was easier than that.

Soup is a lot like family,each ingredient enhances the others;each batch has its own characteristics,and it needs time to simmer to reach full flavour.- Marge Kennedy


  • Chicken fillet – 2 large skinless(sliced)
  • Chicken stock-5 cups
  • Tomato paste – 2 tablespoon
  • spring onions – 1 stalk (finely sliced)
  • Carrots- 1 (finely chopped)
  • Chinese cabbage-1/2 (finely chopped)
  • Vinegar-3 tablespoon
  • Soy sauce -3 table spoon
  • Salt and pepper- to taste
  • hot sauce-3 tablespoon
  • Corn flour-4 tablespoon
  • eggs- 2 beaten well
  • sesame oil-1 teaspoon




  1. In a frying pan add half of the chicken,cook till tender.
  2. add the vegetables,add salt ,vinegar,soy sauce,hot sauce ( 1 tsp each) and cook for a minute.
  3. In a large pot add the stock and boil it.Once the stock is hot add the tomatoe paste and let it cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Once the stock is pipping hot, that’s the time when we should add the cornflour paste.
  5. Make the cornflour paste by simply adding cold water to the cornflour in a bowl.mix well and  make sure there are no lumps,slowly add it to the stock,keep mixing well.add a bit at a time to make sure its thick enough to your liking.add more if required.
  6. Then add the veggies and the chicken and the uncooked chicken aswell.let this cook in the stock for 5 minutes.
  7. Add the sauces and salt and pepper.keep tasting it till required flavor is achieved.
  8. In the add the egg little by little in the corners of the soup.
    Note : do not touch the soup at this point,let the egg cook up and it will come up on top then break it around with a fork or spatula.
  9. Serve with garlic bread or crackers.

Since winters are almost here,Almost!!!
I though of sharing this soup that will not only make you feel warm but kill all unhealthy cravings.It's delicious,healthy,refreshing and very simple to make.I am sure you are going to love this.This is a broth based soup witch gives this great flavour that is light,fragrant unlike cream based soups that get heavy and super rich.

Serves 12 people


  • Carrots– 1 large-finely chopped
  • Celery -1 large-finely chopped
  • Chinese cabbage-1/4-finely chopped
  • green cabbage or bokchoy-1/4 sliced thin
  • capsicum – large-finely chopped
  • spring onions-1-2 finely chopped
  • Corn-1/2 cup
  • Mushrooms-sliced 1/2 cup
  • Chicken breast fillets – 2
  • Chicken carcass-1 whole chicken
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • chinese salt and white pepper 1/2 teaspoon
  • eggs 4 beaten
  • water 15 cups
  • corn starch 5 tablespoon

Sauces :

  • Strong white vinegar 4 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 3 tbsp
  • Oyster sauce 3 tbsp
  • Chili sauce 3 tbsp

The carcass make the best soup but if you dont have the carcass then you can just use the chicken whole boil it and remove the boiled meat but that it will be very time consuming.You can get the carcass easily at any poultery shop.

This is how fine the chop should be.Sorry I forgot to take pictures but yes this is how it should be. The veggies can vary to your taste,like I always say cooking isn’t rocket science you can alter things according to your taste and allergies.


  1. In a large pressure cooker add the 15 cups of water and add the chicken fillets and the carcass whole to it. Add one teaspoon of salt. Close the lid of the cooker tight and give it pressure for 10 minutes.
  2. In another pan,add the garlic in 1/2 tsp of olive oil and then add veggies to it. Cook the veggies,mushroom,corn till tender and then add salt, pepper, half of each sauce,chinese salt and white pepper.
  3. Once your both is prepared,strain the broth in the pan with veggies. In a separate bowl keep the breast filet let it cool and shred finely and add it directly to the broth,cook it on low flame untill piping hot.
  4. Meanwhile,make the cornflour mix with cold water.
  5. Slowly add the egg in batches around the soup and let it cook( note: do not mix till it come to the top).
  6. Once the eggs come to the top add the cornflour mix and stir constantly and it will thicken it up.
    (note:In case you’re trying to lose weight leave the corn flour mix and shrink your calorie intake)
  7. Now is the time when you taste it and add the remaining sauces all at once.
    (note: if your making it for a patient,minus al the sauces and add the seasonings only,believe me it still tastes pretty good).

and don’t forget to serve with crouton,garlic bread or prawn crackers!

Jan’s Deli has been around for quite sometime and in this short period they have managed to create an amazing clientele.It grew from a small bakery to a very nice comfy cafe.

This small cafe can accommodate over 60 people.In the beginning I personally didn’t like going to jan’s but in the past one year it has become  my favourite eatery in the city.Regardless of how small it is,they actually provide good quality food.Many of my friends disagree but from their steaks to dessert,I personally enjoy every meal here.

The interior of the cafe is very modern and quite interesting.So, ground floor is the bakery and coffee shop and the second floor is a family dining area. The Menu is very neatly designed and precise.They have divided the menu into categories i.e Starters,Chicken,Beef,Fish,Pasta,Burgers,Sandwiches and Drinks.They don’t have a really huge menu where there is too many dishes and the food is not upto the mark.They provide what they cook best.Even though,I am not a big fan of their staff,one thing that puts me off every time is the behaviour of their staff.They are not cooperative at all and talk rudely which has been ignored several times.The management should take note of it,as this may affect their potential customers.

They provide a variety of cakes pastries and other snacks.

But my List of favourites are ;

  • Beef soukrout  steak
  • Double Decker steak
  • New york strip steak
  • Death by Chocolate cake
  • hazelnut cappuccino
  • Baked fish

Recently my friends and I went to Jan’s deli for a late lunch and really enjoyed.They food was worth the money…It was delicious,on time and very well presented.

Apart from the dishes shown in the picture above, we ordered chicken corn soup and enjoyed coffee with a tempting slice of caramel mousse cake.

I belong to Peshawar (Pakistan) and where I live the size of your meal matters, the bigger the portion the more customers you will get!! Jan’s deli has taken this quite and they provide good portion size at very affordable prices.Believe it or not a bunch of good friends can eat as much as they can in just 5k or $50.

And if you’re a coffee fan like me you can not miss their cappuccino.It’s divine!!!

Jan’s deli offers home delivery so you can enjoy all these yummy foods at home on a lazy sunday or just to kill those cravings.If you’re living in Peshawar or you plan to visit, do try it.

Just writing this review makes me hungry.
