Tangy Chicken-Vegtable gravy

My very own recipe, created by mix of ideas,aiming to create a dish out of mix of ingredients.This dish is delicious and can be cooked in two ways,an absolute delight for protein lovers-and can be served with flat bread or a nice slice crunchy french bread.
I will teach you guys the way to cook it as steaks and as whole chicken in gravy.

Chicken steaks:

Ingredients :

  • Chicken breast fillets 4-5 or Chicken(12 pieces)
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 cup chicken stock
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup soy Sauce
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 table spoon Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 table spoon oyster sauce
  • 1 table spoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chicken powder
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 table spoon paprika
  • 1/2 tea spoon Chinese salt
  • 2 large cut into large cubes
  • 2 large capsicum large cubes
  • 1 large carrots cut in circle
  • 1-3  tablespoon butter
  • 3 table spoon garlic paste
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms

METHOD:

  1. first and foremost season both sides of chicken with salt pepper and paprika and some garlic paste.
  2. In a large bowl mix all the sauces (vinegar,hot sauce,soy sauce and oyster sauce).
  3. Put 1/2 teaspoon of all the spices( chicken powder,paprika,salt,white and black peppers).Whisk and mix the marinate well.
  4. In a separate prepare the batter, Add flour, remaining paprika,chicken powder,salt,pepper,onion and garlic powder.add freezer cold water about 1/2 and mix well.
  5. Heat a griddle pan at a high heat lay the fillets on it and grill it on one side making sure you press on it so they don’t shrink alot.
  6. Once the fillet is whitish 1/3 of the chicken,add a nob of butter and flip with fish spatula. (Cook all fillets for 3 minutes each side)
  7. In a medium non-stick sauce pan,Pour the sauce and add the flour batter.Cook this mix till it turns into a thick gravy.
  8. Add the mushrooms and vegetables and simmer on low heat for 4 minutes.Keep tasting and if its very tangy add a teaspoon of brown sugar.
  9. In a oven safe dish, lay the fillets in the base and pour the gravy over it and keep in a hot oven for 2-3 minutes so the flavors mix well and gravy sticks to the fillet.

METHOD 2:

  1. Heat a large wok and pour a good lug of oil. Add the chicken,garlic paste,salt and pepper.Cook till the colour changes
  2. In a large bowl mix all the sauces (vinegar,hot sauce,soy sauce and oyster sauce).
  3. In a separate prepare the batter, Add flour, remaining paprika,chicken powder,salt,pepper,onion and garlic powder.add freezer cold water about 1/2 and mix well.
  4. Pour the marinate over the chicken and reduce it by half.Then add the batter on the chicken in the wok.
  5. Add vegetables,mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes,tossing and turning.
  6. Add butter and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve with flat bread and put chopped coriander on top.
