FETTUCCINE ALFREDO

INGREDIENTS :

  • 1 packet fettuccine pasta
  • 1 chicken fillet (cut in strips)
  • 1 table spoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 table spoon vinegar
  • 1/4 cup soya sauce

White sauce:

  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 4 table spoon flour
  • salt
  • 1 table spoon chicken powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • Milk 1 pint

METHOD:

  1. Heat up a non stick pan and add oil,let the oil heat up and add the chicken to the oil.Add salt,ginger and garlic paste and cook till the colour starts to change.Add oyster sauce ,vinegar and soya sauce and let it simmer on a low heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Now prepare the white sauce,in a non stick sauce pan-add butter and let it melt and add flour,mix well and remove from flame,now add salt,chicken powder and slowly start pouring in the milk.Mix the batter and the milk well together so all the lumps disappear.Put the sauce pan back on the flame and let its cook and thicken up to a melted icecream consistency.Add the oregano at the end.
  3. Once you’ve got your chicken an white sauce ready all you need to do is boil the pasta. Fettuccine tends to come in a wrapped together ball shape.
  4. Boil your water(bubbling all over),Add salt,a drizzle of oil and then throw in the pasta balls.Let them cook following the packet instructions but  I guess it will about take 8-10 minutes.
  5. You’ve got all your ingredients read, mix it up well in a wide open pan.cook on a low flame for 3 minutes.Add oregano and black pepper and serve.

Ready under 40 minutes.
